One of the best things I've ever tasted was marinated dove breast wrapped in bacon.
Going to stuff with some cheese stuffing Mrs bo makes then wrap in bacon and throw in smoker this weekend.

Only problem is that it takes so many to feed a squad of minions.

Those doves in the picture are eurasian collared doves. Considered an invasive species, no license required. Just a hunter safety card. They were dropping like flies 2 years ago, avian flu.

Nope, but it is hard to get the nylons on them without getting runs.

I watched a big Red Tailed Hawk take one down this morning while I was out taking the princesses for a walk...

Made it out last night with some buddies. With the wind and a storm rolling in, the doves didn't start flying until just before dark. We unleashed and managed to kill over 60 in about 35 minutes.

Went out east on State land with my father and son opening morning. In years past the parcel I hunt there may be 3-10 other hunters any given opening morning on the 5.5k acres.
There were about 40 people out there this year. Could not hunt my regular spot so I found an area that looked promising. We all limited out by 10am. Not a collared dove in sight. All Mourning Dove.
I say lets all remove the warning labels and let nature take its course.
