    Default YZ 250 Rebuild

Bought this last year and it was trashed. Man I wish I had a picture of it before I started. Didn't run, looked like shit. 25 years old. Parts in boxes.
Rebuilt everything on it. TFOGGER helped me with some parts and advice. Put about $1k into it but it was so worth it.
Started second kick and runs great. Whatcha think?

Very nice! My first race bike was a YZ80, definitely hold a special place for the YZ. What are you into it total if you don't mind sharing?

I think we would all be much more impressed if you had taken those "before" pictures.

$300 for the bike and $1050ish in parts. I was able to get a lot of used parts off eBay. Bought and returned three different cranks until I found one that was rebuildable. Had the frame powder coated which I didn't have to do so that was $250 I didn't need to spend. It could have been much more $$ if the transmission and cylinder were not in decent shape.
