Default Where were you when you heard?

I was on an online chat room before school, when 7 News broke early to Good Morning America...I saw the 2nd plane impact live.

Got to school, heard the Pentagon had been hit. By the time we were heading back from JROTC, both towers had collapsed. I went home and watched the rest of the day unfold with my parents...

Yep, I saw the second plane hit... live... I do not think I will ever forget it! I still remember when JFK was shot. I just got out of school!

I had stopped to pick my cousing on the way to school, I was a junior at the time. I ended up hearing about the towers falling later during class. It was pretty unsettling because my mother had flown to Norfolk for work that week and was going to be bouncing around the area a bit. At the time I was pretty sure she was on the ground, but I was 100% certain.

Just turned on the TV to get weather. Saw second plane hit live. I actually thought it was a movie trailer for a minute or 2. Then the reallity hit. Got to work and watched towers fall live. Also saw Challenger blow up live on TV. 2 days I will remember for as long as I live.

11th grade at Thunder Ridge HS in Highlands Ranch... On my way back from the bathroom. Saw it through a window to another classroom.... Came back into my room and got yelled at by the teacher for pushing the TV to the front of the class while they were reading the Illiad by Homer... (outloud by the way. god bless our school systems! LOL). Nobody reprimanded me for disrupting class. Imagine that.

The next day I dropped out of HS. The 13th was my 17th B-day. I signed an infantry contract for the army on Oct. 1st. Left to Ft. Benning for basic on Jan. 6th. The rest is history. G

God bless everybody we lost that day, and every damn soldier, marine, airman, and sailor that is fighting for what is right EVERY day!

I was at Ft Carson. Walked into the break room to see the second plane hit. Our Col came in and said to get back to work and turn that shit off.

By the end of the day it was a mess because they had shut the place down with mile long lines to try and get in. Then the bright ones closed the schools on post telling everyone to come get there kid..... My bosses wife spent 4 hours in line to pick up there kids from school.
I see you running, tell me what your running from
