    You guys are the best! I woke up in the PACU, and that's a good thing. The old hardware practically fell out. There was the one broken screw and 4 screws didn't have to be unscrewed to be removed. None of the vertebrae have solid bone bridges between them. Once the infection is cleaned up, the new multi-level fusion will be L3 to S1 to make sure there is a solid termination point.
