It's been a long day and I'm still here. Got to my room a couple of hours ago and sent the fam home. They've been awake for the whole thing.

Had an interesting start to the production. I work my way from the gurney to the table in the OR, and the next thing I know, I'm stopping a falling IV stand with my face. The thing was huge with too much equipment attached to one side. Clobbered me just under the left eye and rang my bell a bit. A big mouse started swelling up right away, and I'm thinking my insurance must be really crappy if they're trying to knock me out the old fashioned way. I'm also hoping I don't have to pay extra for that.

Surgeons were really happy how well everything went. I also got a spine straightening upgrade while ortho was in there. I can tell this recovery will be a little more challenging, but I've got this.
