Default New Upper or Full AR

I currently have a Smith and Wesson M&P15T. I've been debating on whether I should just get a new Upper or a while new AR. I have a scope currently on. I also have a red dot that I'm looking to mount. Hence the idea of a separate upper and just change when needed.

Does anyone have any experience doing this or any suggestions?

There never needs to be an excuse to buy more guns. But this Novembers election should be enough to go broke on a few more guns

Depending on mount and scope used. The cheapest solution is a pEpr mount. Top caps used can be smooth or rail ones.

OR if you want to go with a FF3 RDS i have a 30 mm offset mount sitting here, no rds with it. I think there are 2-3 rds that use the same mounting pattern for the dot.

The cheapest solutuion is a paper mount
I have found those don't hold zero too well Jim.

OP, build a new lower too. We all "say" we are getting a spare upper, but then we end up putting it on its own lower anyway.

You are in the wrong place if you want support for "just getting an upper".
