Default Free Float Forend / Sling Mount

Over the last couple of years I have been collecting parts for my AR build. I have upper, lower, parts kits, fire control and today I scored a great deal on a never mounted BA Hanson M4 carbine barrel. It will be a flat top and I want to run a little longer than carbine length forend, I will mount folding sights and I will add an optic down the road. I want to run a two point sling and because I will not have a "normal" front sight that a sling can be attached to, do you guys have any recommendations? Here are a couple of the forends I have looked at:

    http://www.andersonrifles.com/produc...-11-5-forearm/

I still need to get a low profile gas block and various other parts but I am getting there.

    Thanks for your helpful suggestions.

The Anderson would be fine if you like it.

Stay away from the Leapers crap.

Also look at Fortis MFG for lower cost, but good rails.
Sort of mid cost nice rails would be SLR Solo rails.

I just bought a YHM Low Pro gas block from Brownells for $24. Works just like all the others.

I like a narrow handguard that covers a majority of the barrel. It's a personal thing. I really like my SLR Rifleworks ION handguard. Not cheap but very high quality. I wouldn't skimp on quality for a handguard. Buy made in USA and beware of overseas/airsoft knockoffs.

ALG rails FTW! They can be had for around $100, get the MLOK version if you can. Great rail, easy install, and very slim.

    PS not my rifle.

The ALG is the best bang for the buck, right now. I'm running strike ind tubes on 3 rifles. Drop by and check them out.

The rails are suppose to be rail acc specific (M-lok & keymod) however i've had no issue utilizing standard magpul rail sections.
