While a valid response to their liberal stupidity, I felt like these folks were more ignorant than malicious. The kid made a difference in my mind. If it was just two adults, I might have. But as our Iraqi friends say, "Mistuh, the baby!"(even if the "baby" is a 12 year old boy)

One of the best ways to cause a liberal, or really any idiot, to have a bad day, is to totally disregard their point, and be joyful about it. If they don't get to make you angry, they don't get the satisfaction they are looking for. Same idea as giving people a sarcastic grin and thumbs up (or golf clap applause) when they do stupid shit in traffic, the middle finger is so common place, and usually indicates you got angry, that they don't mind it.

Yeah, that's a hard one to get a read on....No matter if she was trying to be cool and failed or an asshole and succeeded, either way that's a head scratcher.

So there is a second part to this story:
I have two Yeti cups with my corporate logo and name engraved on them. They are not pretty. One fell out of the back of my truck on the highway and got knocked around by traffic. It has road rash and a good sized dent in it. The other has been thrown in the back of our work vehicles many times and has been banged around by tools and supplies. I like to think of them as having 'character'.

I go to pick up my coffee and tea, and the same lady is right there behind me. "Oh my god, he has two Yetis."
I turned around and gave her the same line I give my employees all the time: "That's because I am fueled by caffeine and rage."
She repeated it twice, then told the beleaguered barista that she was "going to get that one in ink".

I really couldn't get a good read on the situation. One possibility is that it was an awkward public call-out, and that she kept it going because she didn't feel she got the effect she wanted.
Or she felt bad for having the first interchange, and was trying to engage me in conversation to seem normal.
Or she is one of those non self-aware people who wanted a conversation with a stranger.
Or she was hitting on me, in the way of 5th graders.
I really couldn't tell.

I sleep, get up, go to work, go home, eat dinner, watch a little TV or read and then sleep again.

On the weekends I do stuff and I wear my pro gun tshirts. Mostly I get positive feedback and any negative looks are just that, looks. Being a large and handsome man, I just give them a big smile and they go away without comment. I get more conversation from prog's because of my "Four Men Died - Hillary Lied" sticker on my SUV rear window than I do from my pro gun stuff.

Your kind (and all of our kind), while hated, are a bit of curiosity for those extreme liberals that have never actually met one of us. They have been told that we are a problem for our society; without being told exactly why we're a problem or why what we stand for is a problem.

She was probing. Probing occurs when new knowledge is desired or when reinforcement of existing knowledge is desired.

Despite her self-righteousness, brazenness and ignorance, she was engaging you.

Some around here might tell you to mouth off at her, ignore her, or fire off a funny one-liner at her.

But you have to realize that that woman is clay. Soft. Formless. No opinions of her own. Regurgitating what she has been told.

Buy her the stupid coffee she ordered (and her man-servant) and give her your name and number and invite her to come shooting with you some time. Do it while putting up a friendly smile and asking questions about their lives and what they're up to 'today'.

She may or may not take you up on the offer (and you may not even want to deliver on it), but she will second guess her thoughts every time someone else tells her that YOU are what is wrong with everything in her world.

It works. I've done it. Try it.

The problem with this snowflake is she led with violence, even if only joking. She saw an image of firearm and her brain went to violence. I would not put a firearm in her hands. She is probably one of the Libs who thinks guns should be banned because she knows she couldn't handle owning one.

The silent husband is another red flag that she has issues.

First, to what Jhood said, some people are beyond helping convert, and judging by her comments I wouldn't trust her with a gun, not like skip said in that she is against guns and thinks they're scary, more so I'd be afraid of her being one of those unstable, unbalanced, possibly deranged libtards that cannot be trusted, at all, with a gun, out of worry that she'd kill you for some deranged belief that "one less gun owner around makes the chirrens safer." There are a few people I've encountered that no matter how much you're willing to teach them, they're beyond saving.
