Every article I read today spoke of a "gunman". It amazes me how the left wants to say that someone in their mid-twenties is a "child", unless it's a 14-year old with a gun = "man".

    Sucks! It is a shame.

Sounds like it was femoral artery bleed out. For kids the TK4 is a great tourniquet. The CAT and SOF-T are fairly ineffective on kids and those with small arms or legs. Starting to see more training and equipment for schools. I am teaching two schools in the next month or so.

Also, I heard at least one school district along the front range that is no longer pushing lockdown for active shooter. They were just taught if the teacher can gets kids out of the building, you get them out of building. Finally some common sense is filtering into schools.

Very, very, sad and tragic. It sounds like he was such a sweet little boy.

The article that Gman provided the link to regarding Jacobs death says that the 14yo shooter had been expelled from school last year after bringing a hatchet to school and attacking another student. This child has some serious mental and coping issues - which, now with 2 murders to his name, he'll likely be charged as an adult and have a very long time to consider his actions.

Not if it might damage his delicate self-esteem.

It's unsettling to me how these events take place yet there were so many signs that there was a problem, usually mental illness. It seems that we just don't have an answer for taking people that are a danger to society out of society.
