    No. Post 9/11 the various money laundering laws were greatly strengthened. Banks can't knowingly accept accounts for illegal businesses. Criminal liability for the banks.

    I think I drove past that "Public Assistance Dispensary" just the other day...

    ETA: We're getting a lot of new filings up here involving people who just moved here. I always laugh when the public defender says "He is from [CA, NY, IL, FL, ETC] and has strong ties to the community." No he doesn't, he just moved here for the pot and probably won't show up for his next court date.
