    Default Republican party follies

As a lifelong Republican I just cannot figure out WTF the "leaders" of this party are doing. They are now attempting to give the FN election to Hillary. Who gives a s---t what Trump said 11 years ago? What about all the lies and crimes Hillary has committed? Why doesn't anyone in the party remind the voters about Bengahzi, or any of the other myriad of crimes the Clintons have committed??? Why would the Repubs be so stupid as to commit Hari Kiri at the last hour, abandon Trump, and literally try to give Clinton the election? I can only conclude that there is NO difference between the parties. I am seriously thinking of reregistering as an independent. I am sick of watching my party of choice implode due to the RINOS running the show. This is NOT the party I joined in the 60's. Rant over.

I'm beginning to think its time for a new "Meeting Under The Oaks" ... and we need to throw the GOP down the same hole they threw the Whigs.

    WHY?

because the R's cannot control Trump. Meaning their lobby money, pork barrel bills, side cash would sooner or later come to a stop. If H wins, it's business as usual.
Anyone that believes ANY politician is in it for the people is living in a dream world.

Slightly OT: Until this election cycle Trump was a Democrat. I believe he ran as a R because the D's told him this was Hillary's time.

At this point I can believe anything. It sure looks as if the GOP is deliberately sinking their own ship. If this proves out true, I'm "jumping ship".

Yep...lifelong R here, too. If you would've told me this would happen I would've never believed it. The R party has turned into a monumental goat fuck. Donald Trump is the result of that. The party created the monster by failing the people who've supported it for so long. And now they can't control it. After 8 years of Hillary or whatever surrogate takes over for her when her health fails, the R party will be entirely irrelevant. This isn't a temp change between election cycles...this is a multi-generational change that will make this country unrecognizable to most of us old-timers. Hell...it's practically happened already.

I seriously don't get why republicans aren't shouting from the rooftops about how corrupt and inept HRC is...for crying out load. There is so much bad about that woman it's a never ending supply of ammunition. But, no...they're too busy worrying about what a couple of guys said in what they thought was a private environment. Was it distasteful and crude? Of course. Does it hold a candle to most things Hillary or her scumbag husband have done? Not even close.

    Fuckin' insane.

There are differences, but they are minor at this point. In the grand scheme, no difference: ever bigger government, less liberties (Patriot Act, etc.), more taxes, never ending warfare, increased regulation. They all get together at the same cocktail parties and laugh at us peasants while living high on the hog on our dime. Leeches.

The very day the R's didn't let me have my say in the primaries in CO I unregistered as a Republican. Fuck them.

I imagine because Trump is a piece of sh*t!!!! There is nobody that hates the hildabeast as much as I do, and it sickens me that she is going to be the president. However, my anger is directly toward those who nominated Trump. That guy is a lying, cheating, womanizing, egotistical piece of sh*t that I wouldn't trust with a potato gun in a padded room. He is as big of a clusterf*ck move as Dan Maes was in the 2010 Colorado election. It should come as no surprise that people hate him and that leadership wants to distance themselves from him. Trump is an absolutely horrible candidate in a year that HRC could have been beaten. The notion that somehow Trump would work for the people and end political corruption and DC power brokering...BS!!! Seriously, that is total BS...that guy would walk over and swindle anybody to make a buck as well as sh*t on anybody to stroke his ego; he would sell out this country in a heartbeat if it suited his purpose. I don't know if I am going to swallow that softball size pill and fill in the circle next his name or not. I am seriously struggling with that because HRC is disastrous too, but I am really pissed that I am faced with an impossible decision between the two. This election truly sucks, and the outcome will seriously hurt our country.

For those that don't like the Republican Party. Fine, get involved in the party and help fix it. The party or the name doesn't really matter, but we need to unite in order to stop what is happening. But, if all those right of center want to keep fighting amongst themselves, then we can just watch the socialistic globalists transform our country into their image while we just sit back and complain about it.
I predict future happiness for Americans if they can prevent the government from wasting the labors of the people under the pretense of taking care of them.

IMO, it doesn't really matter who the fuck you vote for anymore, it's already been decided long ago. The whole voting process is meaningless anymore, it's just a feel-good sham to placate the peasants and make us feel like we matter. We don't, we haven't for many, many years. The only way to change things would be another armed revolution. It's no wonder they so desperately want to disarm us.

I think they're giving up on Trump so they can try to protect down-ballot candidates and "save the image" of the party for the next go-around. The only problem is that people are sick of the insider statist RINOs, so protecting that aspect of the party is only going to hurt them (and us) in the long run.

If there's any silver lining to Trump's candidacy, maybe it will be to accelerate the destruction of the current Republican party.

Then there's this. Maybe it won't matter if the GOP ever gets reformed because after Hillary wins, the country will likely be under single-party rule for the next 20+ years.
