    Suspect arrested...

Authorities arrested a California man suspected of leaving a homemade explosive outside a police station in a small northern Colorado mountain town that failed to detonate.

FBI agents took David Michael Ansberry, 64, into custody in Chicago over the weekend, two law enforcement officials with knowledge of the investigation told The Associated Press. The officials spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to speak publicly about the case.

Very strange. "California man" build "device" in Colorado and arrested in Chicago.

Good work on the part of the Feds tracking that one down. Lots of missing details.

Since the device failed to detonate, you could say his bomb making abilities fell short.

David Michael Ansberry, 64, of California, was easily recognizable because he is 3 feet 6 inches tall, the two officials told The Associated Press, speaking on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to publicly discuss the case.

Is 6' 3 really so tall that it allowed this guy to be identified? Does 6' 3 look all that different than 5' 10 on a surveillance camera?

Also, I read both articles from the Chicago Tribune and the Denver Post, and there are at least two entire paragraphs with the exact same wording in each article. Are journalists really that lazy, or is that an accepted practice?

Many news articles are written by bots these days. More than you would think.

That's right, now that you mention it, I've heard that.
