Folks used to live there. Organ mountains look nice, if you like sand blasted stone landscape that has been left out to bake.
Kid had heat stroke when we walked in the desert in December. Close to the ground is much hotter. Dogs said it sucked.
Don't piss off the locals, they are clannish.
