Default Resteraunt recomendations for out of town guest they are staying around (6th and Broadway)

Out of town guest will be staying at Town Place suites around 6th and Broadway in late December. I need some quality restaurant recommendations for them to choose from if you have any in that area. Or as a secondary what resteraunts are worthy of a recommendation over on the west side of 25 with a view of the downtown skyline at night?

I always recommend The Fort restaurant. Kind of a drive for some folks but worth the experience!

Based on what I see in that area these days, I would recommend they either go south on Broadway or north into downtown (yes, I think downtown is nicer/safer than Broadway/Platte in Hancock's Denver).

Here are some places we like downtown...

Osteria Marco (amazing Italian and not too pricey)
Ocean Prime (only if they don't have one)
The Merc (Union Station, and there's lots in Union Station these days too)
    Benny's (always great Mexican)
Work & Class (trendy, loud, and hard to get a table, but amazing food)
Los Chingones (great tacos, homemade guac, margs)

I used to recommend Bistro Vendome for French (I love Steak Frites) but that last time we went, we had a bad time (food and service).

I don't spend much time on Broadway, but for casual places, I've had really good meals at the Horney and Spicy Basil.

    Buckhorn Exchange for one.

No shortage of high-end, hoity-toity eating joints downtown for the hoi polloi, too many to list. Of course, I've only been in about two of them.....

    Guard and Grace downtown.
Also second above recommendation for Osterio Marco.

West side of I-25. Root Down and/or Linger.

to me, Benny's is one step above Casa Bonita.

haven't been, but this looks promising:

Have them go to Sweet Action - 52 Broadway for ice cream. Gives them the Broadway experience, funky clothing boutiques, etc.

Benny's is awesome! Their green chili is perfect. That's the old school Mexican we had all over before Tex-Mex moved in (which is also good).

Guard and Grace was okay but I thought it was very overpriced. The biggest turn off was spinach puree in their mussels. Why?!?!? Steaks were good but the sides were really strange.

    Work and Class YEEESSSS!!!!!

West of 25 by the Stadium in one of those gentrified hoods... Old Major, and William and Graham (it's a speakeasy.. with wonderful food and cocktails, none of their mixers are from a bottle, all hand made, and a great atmosphere. Literally you think it's a book store when you walk in..

I'm not joking when I say that I'd rather eat at Casa Bonita than Buckhorn Exchange.
