    Default quick advice question - random

    i just got a pelican 1720 case and want to put my spr and two pistols in it with some mags. i made a horrible picture to show the two ways i considered cutting out the foam to fit the guns. what do you guys think, which way should i go?

    first or second?

    Put the mags in on end so you can fit more in...

    Watch out for objects being too close together resulting in weak thin foam that may get ripped out by use. Good Luck

    spread the handguns out a little farther. remember neverput them away wet. This will cause rust.

    yeah i forgot the foam can get very weak if too thin. it should all fit fine, hopefully my electric knife will work sufficiently. ill post some pics when i get it done

    If it's deep enough to put them in on end, couldn't you just stack them on top of each other and only have to cut one hole?

    I thought you meant "on end" as in vertically. I was thinking, "That must be a deep case..."

    I'd try to balance the pistols out with the weight of the rifle... so it's not too hard to carry... just a thought... looks like it would be front heavy and weird to carry that way... and if you have to open and reach for a gun in a hurry to know that all the grips are nearly in the same place without having to reach different locations for each weapon?
