Default You guys need to visit Croatia!

This place is amazing! I have been working with a company based in Zagreb for almost 2 years now and was finally able to visit them this week after quick stops in London and Paris. I am enjoying every second of it! The people are great and they all speak English, the food is cheap and amazing, the women are particularly beautiful. I won't have time to experience the coast, but my 2 American buddies living here (both us air force retired) who married Croatian women, swear it's the best place to live for expats.

Bonus point: I visited a "secret" bunker from the Cold War era, buried underneath a park in old Zagreb. The place hosts parties and it's still fully functional. No pics, because you are not allowed to bring a phone in it due to the risk of triggering some demolition charges still embedded in some of the walls....

Mrs BG and I have talked about taking a trip to that part of the world and down into Greece. It's a part of Europe neither of us has been to. Probably won't happen for a while, though.

Sounds like a good time! I have only been as far east as Berlin before the Wall came down.

Much of Eastern Europe is beautiful (especially for those of us that love Colorado) ... it saddens me to think how wonderful Eastern Europe could have been if the commies never came to power.

Spent some time in Eastern Croatia when I was working for Uncle Sam.

It is beautiful. A lot like Germany but more "wild." Yes, the women are very attractive.

This is Eastern Slavonia, near the Croatia/Serbia border. Hopefully they've cleared the mines out since 1998!

I spent a huge amount of time there from 95-01. Lots of time in Zagreb, Split, Sarajevo and Tazar working for Uncle Sam.

    Beautiful country and good food.

One day I would like to return just to see how things have changed.
