    Default Need a front sight or...

    I want to be able to hunt rabbits/squirrels with this gun.. whats a good non battery operated sight for this? Or does someone know a good place close to littleton that could drill holes for a front sight?

    Dang can't post a picture its a ruger mk iii with a rail instead of sights.

    I've had really good luck with "All Caliber Gunsmithing" in Parker. Denny is the owner and is always extremely nice and provides fast service at a good deal. Nothing but the best to say about him and dealt with him a lot on customers guns and my own.

    I don't think there will be a non-battery operated optic of any kind which is small enough to not be ridiculous on a pistol for the purposes you want.

    I like Ridge's suggestion the most, but if it's too pricey, Vortex makes a version which is cheaper: http://www.vortexoptics.com/category/venom_red_dot

    Ya it just sucks those are battery operated and in colorado it says you cant use any sights that are battery operated correct? Im really asking..because thats how i understood it. Because i was thinking about getting a holographic then realized i couldnt use it for hunting..

    That is true for archery and muzzleloader season. I don't believe I've read that for any small game restriction.

    For the $300+, i'd sell my Fast Fire 3 and save whoever an easy $50

    Just checked again and I don't believe there are any sight restrictions for small game. Here is the 2016 small game brochure so you can check again yourself. Hope this opens up options for you.
