I want to like Todd's response but the Marines aren't a corporation. This offends me! How do I post?![]()

Maybe someone could just point her to one of the videos with the beheadings?
She should talk to Maajid Nawaz.

So far, this thread has spawned 187 replies, far outpacing the coyote thread and the rat thread from 2 or 3 years ago. The ridiculousness is profound. The gist of it is that people that drive trucks (to encompass pickups as well as commercial trucks, cannot park in their own driveways. If they do, there is a neighborhood photographer that will take pictures, slap a hard-to-remove-sticker on the vehicle, and the HOA charges homeowners an $150 fine PER VIOLATION. Apparently, some people find this offensive. Now they've sequestered the rest of it in the Willow Creek neighborhood threads.
I'm dying to find out how it's going. Who's in WC and can tell me? Paging Skip!

Isn't the whole point of having a driveway to park in it?!? I've got neighbors who park over my driveway because they want to leave their driveway open. I would love to have them use their own driveways. Maybe I should get some stickers?
I can't keep up with the WC craziness. We are south of those enemy lines in DougCo for exactly this reason. We looked at houses there but I wasn't going to live in Arapahoe county.
I did find that post though!!! It's getting spicy...

My sister down in San Antonio is dealing with the same insanity from the local neighborhood nazi. My B-i-L will have to be driving an EMS support truck for the next several months and it will have to be parked on the street to prevent if from being blocked-in when he gets the emergency calls. They're actually looking forward to getting complaint letters to illustrate the stupidity.

Jeebus. You couldn't get me to live in an HOA governed neighborhood if you paid me.

The REAL kick in the pants is that whoever took the photos went to two other neighborhoods to take photos of 'truck', to provide an example of the disgusting state of affairs the neighborhood COULD turn into if they allow the hoi-polloi in. One of the pickups is from my neighborhood.
The elitism is strong.

It’s like they want to keep out blue-collar workers/business owners to look more exclusive when these are really middle class neighborhoods to begin with in spite of current housing costs.
The irony... those blue-collar skilled tradesmen are likely making more than the white-collar cubical pilot.
I’ve also got a neighbor with a white van and he puts a vinyl magnet white block over his logo. He has more toys than anyone else on the street!

Florida: My brother is a mechanic for a County.
He's on call 1 week every month or so, to repair anything related to the firetrucks in the county.
He brings home the shop service truck, standard 1 ton, job box etc. It wouldn't fit in the garage if he tried. In the driveway it goes.
Nasty letters from the subdivision about said truck being against the rules etc.
He figured it would happen. So he just leaves it at work, it takes him an extra 30 minutes to drive to the shop, pick up the truck, drive to the "emergency" repair at some fire station. Lather rinse repeat.
Same thing happened during the last hurricane. All county vehicles were taken home with employees for emergency purposes - many letters went out to folks.
If the people only thought about or asked about the vehicle, they might think twice about the delays in response on some things.
