So a deranged person buying a gun during a calm period waiting three days (which again is not the case in Colorado), then using the gun later saved exactly zero lives and didn't even register on the meter of goodness.
This AND a waiting period keeps someone that has just discovered that they have an angry and dangerous person in their life threatening them (in possession of a weapon they purchased years ago) and they get to sit helplessly "cooling off" while said angry and dangerous person is free to murder them at their whim.
