After the robots take their jobs...maybe they won't have the will to keep on living.

I'm looking forward to being charged $14 for a happy meal. Not to mention higher prices for groceries and everything else. Raise it all you want and minimum wage will still be minimum wage. Minimum wage workers will probably be shocked when they make more money but it doesn't go any further than it did before. At least I'll probably get a raise to keep up with the cost of living so hopefully I won't be any worse off while the minimum wagers aren't any better off.

Federal minimum wage is $7.25 per hour. Colorado current minimum wage is $8.31 per hour. McDonalds in Thornton starting pay is $10 per hour.

In the metro area, who is getting paid minimum wage?

Prices go up so the workers making minimum wage can't afford the products they make. I predict that as the minimum wage increases the poverty level income will increase and therefore government payments to unemployed and disabled will increase. Taxes will need to be increased and this help drive inflation. When the same amount of work that used to cost $10 per hour now costs $12 per hour, your money is worth less. But many of us already know that our money is worthless.

I wanted to see primary voting, but only for affiliated voters. IMHO, there's too much potential for unaffiliated voters to poison the well in primaries.

OTOH, it's not like it was difficult to participate in the caucus if you wanted...

Now that open primaries are the standard fare, I can't think of any downside to changing my party affiliation to "Independent". What am I missing?

I had more people knocking on my door than calling during this past cycle.

I can't remember the last time I actually answered the door or the phone.

How does the balance of power look in the state legislature?
