So apparently Hillary gets a pass?

Getting away with continued crimes does not help anyone heal. Mercy is not divorced from Justice, but a recognition of fault and the decreasing or forgiving of the penalty. As such, this is not mercy.
Odds are a deal was struck after the debacle the D's suffered election night. Hillary agrees to concede, not contest at any time the electoral results and she does not get prosecuted.

Strong possibility given how things played out. Initially Podesta took the stage to say they were waiting until tomorrow to concede, then Hillary made the call to Trump. At ~1:30AM I thought they were leaving the door open for another 2000. But then conceded. I was surprised.

Also possible is that the transition is incredibly fragile and deals are being made to ensure things go smoothly. An honest investigation of Clinton would lead back to Obama.

But one thing I don't agree with is that Hillary (or Bill) have been removed from politics. Chelsea and her hedge-fund-failure husband have no other means to survive than through Clintonesque graft.

I guess we'll see. Or maybe he's just laying low until he can go full Nuremberg on her. I'd like the hanging to be on national television.

IF he announced there would be charges, prior to being sworn in. Obama could pardon her. In effect putting any investigations, current or future along with serious charges of treason etc dead in the water.

Yes. Though, Obama was quoted on another issue of saying he could not pardon someone not convicted of a crime. He did however pardon some turkeys today for the crime of being responsible for tomorrow's food coma.

Ford pardoned Nixon even though he was never charged.
