    If you are a Utah resident with a Utah permit visiting CO., it is legal.
    You are not legal being a CO. Resident with UT. Permit.

    Until you get a CO. permit, carry at your own risk.

    And I'd bet you are still driving on your UT. drivers license, that is also a No No here, you have 90 days to get a CO. DL.
