Default Reclaimed Pallets: Show Your Projects

I have never had artistic talent. But I've seen some really cool stuff made from pallets and my work yard is shared with a guy that builds and recycles pallets as a business. I have a virtually unlimited supply of old pallets to work with.

So, after some inspiration looking online I've come up with a few things...not claiming my ideas to be original, just my interpretations.

I started with a prototype of a really rough, rustic flag for outside. I was mostly just testing colors to see what worked and what didn't. Everything was done freehand, no thought to overspray, etc... I didn't even clean the pallet before painting. I thought the colors were close but too bright, so this one was basically just gonna be set aside.

    First rough attempt:

But rather than just trash it or cut it up for other uses I thought it might be kinda cool as a background for some repro Americana tin signs. So this one will wind up on the wall as soon as I figure out what signs to use and how to arrange them:

Just thought it was kinda cool, man-cave stuff.

I'm actually gonna use them to build a staircase to the loft in my shop. People do some very creative things with them. I look at them and see old pallets. Somebody with talent looks at them and sees everything but that.

It's like the Glock Grip Plugs. I look at a Glock and see an empty space behind the grip. The entrepreneur or forward thinking person looks at it and sees a hole that needs to be filled and then develops a way to do it...and in the process separates lots of people from their money.

I don't have that type of vision.

I like the ones used as planters. I'd post an example but I'm mobile. I have picked up many old pallets, but never actually completed a project with one.

Creativity? Nope, aint got none. I do like pallet fires.

If anyone needs to dump pallets or any junk wood, message me. I like bonfires. I have enough rural land and common sense to dispose of it properly (North of Bennett)

I have a plan to make a flag with a oak from a pallet. I've just not had time yet to do it. I like your painted one.

A friend has a living wall made up from pallets. Lot's of plants and things crawling all over a wall of pallets in the back yard. I'll see if I can find a photo.

Sometimes assholes push people down stairs.
That doesn't mean "stairs are bad" nor does it make someone who pushes someone down the stairs any less of an asshole.

Pallet planters/flower gardens are cool, I want to make 5-6 of them for our backyard. Need to find some good ones first.

Too many BTU's to make into art project. Pallets go into wood stove here.
