Default Ideas for getting a part machined

I have an HK P9S .45 Target that has a broken part. (One of two "wings" on the buffer housing support is broken off. It looks to have been made of pot metal.) I haven't been able to find a replacement, but since the pistol is pretty valuable, it would be worth getting a custom part made using the current part as a model. Any ideas who could do that locally? If not locally, any other ideas? I know it won't be cheap, but any ideas how much such a service would cost?

    Thanks,

    Kevin

From the little bit I have read on this, your buffer is dead, it killed the buffer housing. I'd try and find a online HK club that might have access to parts and a fix.
Ebay had some 9MM parts. Might try contacting the seller for information.

If you can not find any option, I can give it a shot, I have hand made parts for close tolerance applications before

Thanks. I replaced the buffer and everything looks ship shape except this one piece. I've tried the HK forums, google searches, contacting HK parts vendors, eBay, and haven't had luck. I've been told more than once that the .45 part is pretty much ubobtanium.

That would be great, thanks! Let me keep looking around just to make sure, and if I can't get the part, let's talk. Any idea what you'd charge?

That's SOP for H&K parts in general, especially if it's a Must Have part.

iI'm guessing that the cost per part will be much less if you make 30-40 etc? Then sell them online after testing in your pistol.
