So, apparently there are countries that issue passports that have a "third option" for gender.

I know the human species has both male and female genders. I guess my teachers left out the part about the third gender.

For crying out loud people, I don't care if you want to "identity" as one or the other but could you just pick a team?

Only three? How am I supposed to let people know how to address a gender variant like myself? The could have at least been progressive enough to start with the list from Facebook, it's a start with 58.

You know, if these kids (because what they are; whether by age or mental maturity) came out and said, "I don't want to be pigeon-holed by the social expectations of my gender," I'd respect their position and be inclined to take what they say seriously and respectfully.

But the fact that it's clearly just a trend that gives boring teenagers and early twenty-somethings an outlet to show off their "unique" and "creative" "personalities" drives me nuts. It's nothing more than a way for kids that have no athletic, social, business, or skills chops to pretend that they are a special snowflake that's too radical for society to handle. Being ugly, fat, and boring doesn't mean you're not a woman anymore. It just means you need to shape up if you want to get a man with ambition and self-respect to pay attention to you.
