Broncos made several costly mistakes.

Holding call made them re-punt, instead of KC having the ball inside the 5 they got it at the 35.
Muffed punt gave KC the ball near mid-field instead of Denver having the ball at mid-field.
Muffed punt gave Denver the ball inside the 5, resulted in safety and eventually a TD for KC.
Illegal formation on KC field goal, resulted in KC getting a TD instead of FG.

Yeah, the Broncos killed themselves with penalties. The right side of that O-line should have been addressed in the first quarter, because Houston was a HUGE problem in the first half.
