You wouldn't have to enforce anything, just make it so the posts cannot be edited.

While the staff encourages folks to leave their sale/trade threads intact and prevent members from deleting the threads themselves, since I've been a moderator we've never had a hard and fast requirement/rule to leave the contents intact. Then again, this could always change.

. Put a new Sticky in the TP section. Asking all sellers to please keep the item sold in view with "ASKING" price till buyer receives it. Once received the buyer contacts mods via the ICON directly to the RIGHT> OF Blog this Post. Informing them item was received, no issues please close thread. Thread gets deleted.

The problem I see (wait didn't i start this thread?) Is .. If you browse the TP section the seller of an item Has (In say 50%) of items listed post Mods Please close thread. INSTEAD of CLICKING THE ICON to the RIGHT> of Blog this Post.
Which if those who rely on the mods to do the work the seller should have done . By clicking on the Icon> which says REPORT THIS POST the mods have a heads up item is SOLD and can Delete it. Instead of putting extra work load on the MODS to do a monthly or Bi-Monthly clean up of th eTP section.

Something IIRC was already asked by the Mods for all sellers to do once their item was sold. Some time back

To prevent fraud, only moderators can delete threads in the Trading Post. If your item has sold or is otherwise no longer available, PM a moderator and they will update your thread's title with the reason and close the thread. Or better yet, use the report a post functionality. This is the Icon on the bottom of the post towards the left, that looks like a triangle with an exclamation mark in it.

I think it would be nice if they left all the details and the post was kept for a year.

They get archived after 30-60 days. The market will probably be stagnant for some time with trump being elected. One can see the movement, or lack of by how many guns are BTT more than marked SPF

I have yet to see a reason why advertised selling prices are removed after a sale. Who does that benefit?

    Default TRADING POST ??

I miss the days when I could delete my entire post after something I had listed sold.

I figure once the item has moved it really doesn't benefit anyone by still being there.

If you want to know what your stuff might be worth just look at prices on new ones and deduct from there because yours is used and maybe deduct a little more if it's well used. Or look at items that are currently available and if they haven't moved in a while then whatever price they have them listed at is probably too high.

This is correct. We can see every edit and history for every post.

    This for the win /thread.

If every seller would use that "!" Icon we would have things update almost in real time with as much as the staff is online.

I read that the suggestion was made that we make the TP un editable once the member post his item for sale, Nice in theory but do you know how much more work would it entail for the staff because of typos or drops in Pricing? Yea don't want to even imagine that. Hell on most of my ads I still editors them about 5-6 times after I have posted.
