    I vote against it just like I did the last election.

    1.) Listed price may have little relevance to actual sold price.

    2.) Just another way for gov't agencies to have access to historical firearm data when the next (D) gets elected and gun control is a hot topic again.

    1) True, but it starts a baseline and then one can move it down as Ray said. It establishes the local market. Also, if someone lists X for $Y and it goes in 20 minutes, one might realize its local value is higher than they thought (though the outlying factor could be the buyer is stupid, really wanted that item, etc.).

    2) Do you think they don't already know this? Unless one is doing (illegal) FTF sales that data is available if they want it.

    OOHHH That gun forum data base is the real threat to liberty

    With that i'm going to ask the mods (clicking on the report icon) to lock the thread. Anyone can (GASP) access it so it will still be in members minds.
