    Default CCW Adams County

So I applied for my CCW through Adams county sheriff on Sep 1st. As I understand the law they have 90 days to provide me my CCW card or declination of application. If they'd put it in the mail this past Tuesday it should have been in my mail by today. I've called them a couple times to inquire. They're generally pretty rude to me and not at all helpful. Anybody have an experience like this? Am I missing something? Is there any recourse since they've violated the 90 day law? Any compliant I can file or any penalty I can invoke? Thanks.

They told me it would be mailed when I applied and they said it would be in the mail by Tuesday this week (day 90) when I spoke to them on Monday. Adams county has a long and sordid history of anti-gun antics. I'd love to go pick it up myself if that would solve this.

Go there, smile, receive permit go home. That 90 days, is kind of vague. If there's a backlog you wait. Remember while state issued, it's at the discretion of the CLEO

You're only getting a permit now?

I think saying "state issued" is somewhat inaccurate and misleading. It is state (shall issue) law, however issued by each county, correct?

My Utah permit, now that's state issued...

I'm at day 93. Ridiculous. They sure cashed my check right quick though.

Odd. The old sheriff was a douche bag and that's really when they sucked. The new guy seems pretty cool. Even responded to an email I sent inquiring about his willingness to sign off on NFA items.

When I got my permit through Adams county about a year or so ago it showed up at my house in the mail in less than two weeks from the time I went and turned in my application.

I have never had an issue with my original application and two subsequent renewals. The first permit was right at the 90 days, both renewals were under that.
My guess is they have a backlog.
I really wouldn't stress it until it hit 120 days.

Jeffco you have to pick it up in person. At 3 months they hadn't called so I stopped by to see if it was ready...lady at the desk wasn't happy that I stopped in without a call and told me it would be at the other desk when ready. I left... then walked back in to the the other desk...it was sitting there at the bottom of a pile of about 10 other envelopes. I got a call about a week later saying it was ready.
