Fudd Hunters Safety instructors...
My wife and 2 of my boys took their hunters safety course this weekend. Lots of fudd things said. The biggest one that caught my attention is... The guy tells everyone that the only people that own automatic weapons are Cops and Criminals.

My wife said he was a serious fudd.

I wasnt there I took my hunters safety 30 plus years ago. My wife and 2 of my sons went. I told her to light him up, but she isnt that way. I explained to my kids. They already knew though because they have seen Alan Samuels and we have talked about it on many many occasions.Originally Posted by jmg8550

There are some real clown instructors in the program. At some hunter ed instructor meetings in the past, I've gotten into some hilarious arguments.

My wife took it about 8 years ago. She said the instructor was making up all kinds of stupid ideas and opinions that were not in the material and she knew better after hunting with me and her family for so many years. Can't remember what exactly was said but she was appalled by this guy acting like he was a college professor injecting his opinions when he actually needs to be teaching the correct material.

Just to throw out the opposite experience, the instructors for both of my kids classes were great. They really pushed the idea of shooting a lot to become proficient before going hunting. They were also very knowledgeable on a lot of types of firearms.
I almost got shot at mine. 22lr hit the dirt about 3 feet in front of me.
