Cheesecake? Junior's.I used to travel with a co-worker who could not eat anyplace but Cheesecake Factory or Outback Steakhouse. Nice guy but if you are going out, skip the chains and go local. I can get a XYZ anywhere. Why would I travel 1000 miles to get the same stuff I can have at home?

    Because it's safe.

Sometimes they have local ingredients you can't get -- like tree-ripened mango or passion fruit ...

However, my main reason for getting cheesecake at the Cheesecake Factory rather than making it myself (despite mine being at least as good) is that if I get a slice at the Cheesecake Factory, I don't have another 2000+ calories of temptation left in my refrigerator ...

My wife isn't a very adventurous eater. Drives me nuts sometimes. She'd rather go somewhere where she knows what she's going to get rather than try new stuff. Fortunately for me she can never decide where to eat so that decision is usually left up to me. When I'm away in far off, exotic lands I love to try new things.
