    Default Trijicon RMR

What are the opinions of the RMR?

The dot seems rather large for what you are paying for. Is this worth it for the large dot?

Looks for a good red dot of my MP5K. Im tired of these $100 Chinese made pieces of garbage.

The dot is larger than say a dedicated rifle mounted optic because its held farther away from your eye

The dot is supposed to be "large". It's for quick acquisition and sighting.

I have one on top of my TA31. Its good. I am not a big fan of it being mounted on top of the TA31 though. In order to use it properly it totally throws off the cheek weld. I also have not found a quick way to pick up the sight when I transition from the Acog to the RMR. I want to mount it on a 45 degree offset mount I think that will help. But I would buy one again. I do like having it for CQB stuff, I just have to start with that sight, If I try to transition in the middle of a course I feel like it slows me down the way I have it set up right now.

For an RMR on top of an ACOG, you're supposed to can't the weapon slightly and pick up the dot with your non-dominant eye. With both eyes open, the RMR's dot will be superimposed over the target and you will maintain (somewhat) normal cheek weld. That's the idea, anyway. I don't really like it, but it is better than trying to chin-weld without canting your rifle.

Any thoughts on the different MOA options for the RMR? I just got a Glock 34 and have been getting the urge to throw something of the sort on it
