They work hard to get experience and work their way up the food chain. They buy a car to get to work, they buy a home, and they eventually bring their family over. The American Dream still exists for those willing to work for it.
That's the point. If institutional racism were a thing, it would be impossible for the Asians to do the same thing, but they do the same thing. It's hard work, not a culturally dictated thing.

Then again, I'm just a fourth-generation American of Chinese extraction who grew up in Hawaii with other Asian-Americans watching the Pacific Rim. I'm sure I'm not as qualified to talk about Asian cultures as an East Coast NPR talking head who studied Asian Culture at Harvard or Yale or Princeton or even CUNY and who has probably written dozens of papers on the subject.
Well, being a first-gen American born half breed, guess I can only blame the Whitey in me for being such an under-achiever...... Where's my entitlements ? Whitey be puttin me down all my life.....

There seems to be a consistent theme here, I just can't put my finger on it!

The country really is open to anyone who is willing to have a "go" at it. Which destroys the narratives of institutional racism and white privilege because the success stories that come from all backgrounds can't be explained otherwise.
