It's a measure of the civility in this country that no ones seems to fear constantly pissing off the people who own lots of guns.

It's called "Recreational Outrage". It is the newest greatest thing, you should try it. It really disturbs davsel's safe space...

There's a difference between someone blasting this song from their car, in their home, on their headphones, on their computer in a waiting area, etc vs while on the job. If I were playing that song at my job, I'd expect complaints and possible firing. I don't hold this against SmashBurger but I would make sure management/corporate knew how their stores were being operated so they could correct the issue.

To the few who take offense at my verbiage choices in the thread title, I stand by them.
It appears my choice for subject and verb has caused the most butthurt, so let me expound.

"SmashBurger" - employees of a company, especially a customer service company, represent the company. I assumed it obvious after reading the linked article that it was some employees of a specific SmashBurger restaurant who acted inappropriately. SmashBurger - the company - quickly came out and condemned the act of these employees and voiced their corporate support of law enforcement.

"harasssed" - Look it up; it fits. https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/harass Law enforcement officers are being ambushed and killed all across the country. Take a moment to read the lyrics to the song they repeatedly played: http://www.azlyrics.com/lyrics/nwa/fuckthepolice.html Then try to explain how this does not equate to harassment of police officers sitting down to lunch.

It is disgusting that anyone would choose to side with the employees in this situation.

I agree wholeheartedly davsel. In case you haven't noticed, we have a few members here who are not "pro" law enforcement. Which is why I choose not to get into debates with them (kinda like arguing with a Liberal). But....I digress.

To keep on topic, I think this is absolutely unacceptable for any restaurant to play this song or any song with foul language where the general public (especially with children) frequent. Not having looked into this any further, I do hope the matter has been appropriately addressed with the employees and the problem corrected.

I would have said something to the manager. I don't blanket boycott a company because one particular store did something egregious, I take it to the manager of that location and let them deal with it. If it's not fixed on follow-on visits, then I stop going to that particular store. Simple.

Does this look like spit to you? (or something much worse- knowing how fucked up some are these days). I rarely go to any fast food (or any restaurant besides places where I see my food prepared- Subway, Qdoba) in uniform. That's just inviting the idiots to mess with my food.

How does the manager NOT know that it's being played...on repeat? I don't have patience for this sort of thing. I go out of my way with my job and business to offer professional and top notch customer service. It's something EVERYONE can do so when its the extreme opposite, why spend my hard earned money at a place that doesnt seem to care? Yes, it was an employee or two but how does the manager let it happen? Just failure from top to bottom. Hence why I'd send it to corporate to ensure it gets corrected. Manager would just sweep it under the rug since he's just as responsible.

Would I boycott them forever? Of course not. I'd probably just avoid that location for a prolonged period of time but there are plenty of burger joints to get my grease on at.
