    Default Colt 1877

Does anyone local work on these old double actions?

Family gun. Don't have any intent on really shooting it but would like to have it functional for future generations.

    Thanks

According to this report, not really easy to keep serviceable.

Yep they could be called finicky ... or many other things. If you have one don't shoot it in single action as that causes a lot of the issue.

I did find someone to work on it over at the Colorado School of Trades.

Some pretty famous hombres used the 1877. Probably won't use it as my daily carry but my Great Great Granddaddy did some good work with it so I'll take the effort to keep it running as long as possible.
