We can meet up by the King soopers and we can get some beer and we can talk about setting something up

Hey quick question. About how much usable meat would you get off an animal the size of the one in that first picture? For that matter, how big is an animal of that size?

That sounds good I already got used to local beer. BJ:s in Boulder has some really excellent beer.
This weekend, or next week ?

Weight of a roe deer is usually around 65 - 75 lbs. That one (male) weighed about 100 lbs, which is quite typical for healthy roebuck.

I once shot a roebuck and it weighed 123 lbs. I have never seen bigger than that, not even in Estonia.

Meat weight (roebuck in the picture) was some 25 pounds. Not very much

That is a lot of waste.
Do you only take the choice cuts or what?

You should go elk hunting here ASAP. I think you will find you get a lot of meat even after dressing it. Enough for the family and a few BBQ's for friends on AR-15.com.

I used to hunt sears as a kid - we left the roebucks alone.

(sorry, poor humor... for those that didn't get it, the name for Sears stores used to be "Sears, Roebuck, & Company". It's been a long day and I'm really tired. I'll do better tomorrow; I promise.)

I got it and I was thinking the same thing. But you did a much better job a delivery then I did.
