While I agree, incidents like this don't exactly help the cause. As much as we all hate to admit it, not all gun owners are trained and rational like most of us. Sadly it only takes a few bad apples to make businesses unwilling to risk it. Think about it. A perp comes in and kills someone during a robbery, the company isn't usually held liable as it could happen anywhere. If an employee gets trigger happy and hits a bystander or even an unarmed perp, lawsuits galore. Would you want to take that risk as a corporation? I hire employees and I have maybe 1 I would feel comfortable carrying a gun and making wise decisions.
