PRS Schedule and registration info

Being a PRS shooter and knowing many are looking to get into it, coupled with a TON of issues with the new website and timely updates I figured I'd share what I know here for easy access for those that want information. In order to get the updates via email you have to be a paid PRS member, and there's currently numerous people trying to register for 2017 and not able to make it happen due to the website issues. Luckily I was able to get it done before the new website went live so I am currently getting updates and info so I will share it here for those that need said info and are having problems registering for 2017. Please keep in mind if you are not a paid current member you will not be able to register for these matches on the posted registration dates as Current Paid members get 48 hours exclusivity before the matches open up to the public. So if you are not a member you will have to wait 48 hours from the time the registrations go live in order to register.

For those that were 2016 members and have a member number and can't register/pay for 2017 due to the website issues, I'd bet you will be able to register on the member opening date by using your number since they don't change year to year, but I wouldn't guarantee it, If you do this successfully, I'd highly advise you to contact Shawn Wiseman and make sure and get your membership dues paid before your first match if they don't get the issues sorted with the website before that time, to make sure you're good to go.

No Problem, I was starting to think about the possibly ever growing email list and it dawned on me that most anyone that I'm going to be emailing the info to is a member here anyway and I'm sure there's a few here that are considering trying PRS and tracking down all the info from email lists, Facebook, and the PRS website is tedious at best, since I'm doing it anyway, this will be a better way to do it.

As info for non-PRS Members that are looking to shoot the match in Albuquerque, there are plenty of spots left available. When you sign up just put "Non-PRS Member" in the box that asks for your PRS member number.

SFTG Notification

This match is a precision rifle event consisting mainly of lines and troops from improvised positions on natural terrain. Prone and positional shooting at small targets in windy conditions has made Oklahoma one of the most challenging stops on the PRS circuit.

Keeping in tradition with the SFTG this is a cash payback match. Every entry less the cost of match expenses (T-shirt and meals and very little steel needed) will be given back to the shooters with the books open for anyone to review for themselves.

This years entry will be $500 in order to make for the biggest cash pot we know of in the history of our sport. And we will be excepting the first 65 paid shooters. The reasons for the numbers are simple. #1 We want to have enough shooters for everyone to get PRS points for participating (minimum of 60). #2 we want to try to get the pot up to around $30,000 after expenses and pay it down to about 7 places. If you do well it will be worth your while. And #3 with that kind of money on the line that is about as many people as we can keep a close eye on to ensure everyone gets a fair match.

In order for this to be fair we have secured a new location for the match North of Woodward, Oklahoma that not even anyone from Oklahoma has seen in nearly a year. And we are currently setting up completely new courses of fire that will be ran by experienced shooters who know what hits on targets look like.

Starting February 1st I will be taking entry in the form of a check with a email address, phone number and shirt size mailed to..

Any entry that arrives before February 1st will go to the back of the line. I looked into using Practiscore and a couple other credit card options and they all wanted a pretty good cut stating " You can just pass that cost on to the shooters." Like I said it is a 100% cash payback match and I do not want people lining their pockets at the shooters expense.

South Dakota Steel Classic info - www.precisionreloading.com

SDSC is a Precision Rifle Series shooting event with shots from 25-1300 yards. Nearly all of the shots are practical in nature having a hunting or military type them and then there's some just for fun. Entry is at www.precisionreloading.com and will open on January 25 2017. We are working on sponsorship for the SDSC be as well received as it was in 2016.

- 2 day match April 1 & 2, 2017 - Near Lincoln, Ks - 25 stages to test your skills - $200 match fee - Approximately 220 rounds rifle and 75 rounds pistol - Field conditions, course is spread out over about a mile. Competitors will leave vehicles at the lodge and walk to the stages.
