I caught the first episode of CBS' "Hunted" last night. It's a reality show were people act as fugitives and try to avoid capture (and win a prize if they can for 28 days).
It really showed the power of the surveillance state. I thought it was pretty interesting, though the people are (1) geographically constrained; (2) financially constrained; and, (3) aren't committing crimes to further their fugitive state
Did you ever watch Man Hunter? It was a similar premise, but took place over a day or two. The people got an hour head start and a professional tracker would track them from horseback.
