We've been enjoying Tracy Morgan's new show The Last OG on TBS. It's about a drug dealer that goes away for 15 years then comes back to a very different Brooklyn and tried to get his life together.
We're watching it on Sling TV, which is a great reminder of how terrible free television is, but now I have to pay for it.![]()

I finally finished watching all of the first two seasons of The Last Kingdom on Netflix. I'm seriously hooked on this show and am anxiously awaiting Season 3 which is supposed to come out this fall.
If you like the concept of medieval, or Renaissance, times, but Game of Thrones seems too over the top for you (as it is with me), I think you'll really enjoy The Last Kingdom.

If any of you have enjoyed watching Sense 8 on Netflix as I have, the series finally will be released this Friday, June 8th.
With filming all across the globe, this show needed serious advertising to get the following it needed to make it worth the cost to film. Sadly, it's ending with so much potential storyline never touched.

Their budget was so high NF couldn't justify buying another season. Thankfully they've given them a chance to wrap it up in a 2 hr? finale.
Would have liked to see where it went after last seasons finale.
Absolutely
We really like VAN DAMMMM and Sun
When we first watched it the spouse said ( S1 Ep 2) this better start making senseand pick up the pace or she was done with it. Didn't get back to Ep 3 for
a few till the spouse asked if we were going to watch it. It's weird but gels quickly, if one can follow it.

"when you're happy you enjoy the melody but, when you're broken you understand the lyrics".
Since Bernard Cornwell wrote the books this was based on, I watched a few episodes. Not surprisingly, the television series was disappointing compared to the books, IMO. His stories are very formulaic but his history is well researched. Richard Sharpe is one of the best known characters in the historical fiction genre.
Uhtred should be a big bastard and the actor they cast in the television series looks more like stand in for Orlando Bloom as Legolas.
I couldn't get through the second book in George RR (I wish I was JRR Tolkien) Martin's GoT series. I am happy to say I have never seen any of the television version of GoT.
I finished the first season of the Lost in Space reboot and watched the first episode of Altered Carbon. The best thing I've seen on television lately has been Black Mirror.
We've been watching Lost in Space. It's good, and I want to keep watching, but they really could have done a better job with some inconsistencies, like the water freezing super fast, but everyone above the surface is just fine without a suit. I'm also kind of irritated that a show set in an entirely new world needs terrible people as the anti-hero to generate conflict. I guess that's standard formula for entertainment though.

I binged S1 "Electric Sheep" (loosely based on short story ideas by Phillip K. Dick) on Netflix. It's a lot like "Black Mirror"

"Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?" is the novel that Blade Runner was based upon.
