As a stand alone the characters never connected , it was like they were slogging through the series.
Evidently the 2nd Season of True Detective was bad because they had to basically re-write the entire show from scratch shortly before production.

If there's nothing wrong with having to show an ID to buy a gun, there's nothing wrong with having to show an ID to vote.

For legal reasons, that's a joke.

This. I found it hard to watch. I kept hoping it would get better. Turned me off to investing any time in Season 3.

Fingers crossed on Altered Carbon. Hope it's worth the wait. Based on the story line, it could be a looong series if it's done right.

We've been binging Parks and Recreation. I have no idea how I missed that one. Must have been busy with real life when that show was on. My wife turned to me last night and said, Ron Swanson reminds me of *you*.
Ron is the man! Wife got me a copy of his breakfast poster to hang in my office. Not many recognize it, but those that do, I know I will get along with.

In case you missed them also, Hulu has "My name is Earl" and "Raising Hope"

    Great fun show.
    My Feedback
Credit TFOGGER : Liberals only want things to be "fair and just" if it benefits them.
Credit Zundfolge: The left only supports two "rights"; Buggery and Infanticide.
Credit roberth: List of things Government does best; 1. Steal your money 2. Steal your time 3. Waste the money they stole from you. 4. Waste your time making you ask permission for things you have a natural right to own. "Anyone that thinks the communists won't turn off your power for being on COAR15 is a fucking moron."

Last thing about Mindhunter, in the scene when they interview Jr., pay special attention to the malapropisms. I near fell out of my chair it was so funny watching Holden's responses & Jim just rolling with it & using the mallomars...

It might not be as funny to some as it was to me because I used to work with a guy like that & near lost my mind trying communicate with him each & every day.

"Raising Hope" is from the same creator, Greg Garcia, as "My Name is Earl." Very similar style between the two shows. I'm into second season of Hope now - Most all the Earl characters have had a cameo and a couple are regulars. Good stuff.

A show that was cancelled before it should have. it may take some a few to get it, but when you do .
Karma's not like a dog Randy. You just don't call it and it shows up.

2 stand out supporting actors were

    Eddie Steeples as Darnell. and

Nadine Velazquez at Katalina the maid / stripper, also was in Six as Jackie Ortiz
