That's exactly the same response I had. "And now....the rest of the story."

My respect for Mike Rowe just became far greater than it was. Ive always like his narrations, and his TV shows. I've recently wondered why he doesn't do Deadliest Catch, and Dirty Jobs anymore. I think he even did some Gold Rush after shows as well.

I've listened to a lot of Youtube videos with Mike Rowe, and after a while you start to hear a lot of the same content.

If you've got time (2:21 minutes) Tim Ferriss has a very detailed podcast with Mike Rowe: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2omFKcCmX-o&t=4718s
I've only listened to half of it and it by far has the most info on Mike Rowe and his history than I've been able to get else where. His history is in acting and show business and he's got some pretty great stories. Oh by the way, I'd skip the first 6 minutes or so as the beginning is all the advertising that goes with Podcasts.

What a well written and respectful response. I haven't seen anything with Mike in it for years (I liked his Dirty Jobs show), but I have a newfound respect for him. Thanks for posting.

According to wiki Rowe has been a lifelong fan of radio broadcaster Paul Harvey, with him being one of Rowe's biggest influences.

I've made a LOT of converts by taking my wifes friends, usually theatre/arts people, to the range and teaching them how to shoot.

Start small, get them proficient, move them up, making sure they get comfortable with each step up before moving on, and then hear stories about how they are buying guns, building AR's, and joining ranges from my wife. I've helped quite a few piece buy parts and assemble AR's now.

    It's fun.

All that aside, I really like Mike Rowe and his stance on things. He is a class act in an age with very few of them left.

I really like how he can describe his experiences like a story.

    Thanks for posting this.
