This has been debated here a few times https://www.ar-15.co/threads/155763-...=1#post1979275. I was in the market for a 'budget' 9mm carbine. The winner for me was the CZ scorpion. At that time, the MPX was being released, was scarce, mags were impossible to find and were expensive ($50+) and they had so-so reviews on reliability. For the price of my Scorpion, 922r stock kit, Form 1 supressor and two NFA stamps; I was into the price of a one Sig MPX pistol (http://www.gunbroker.com/item/616159006). Mags for the scorpion are $17, 922r kits are showing up more often and the aftermarket world is growing daily.

Here is how mine looks as of now. Only thing it is missing is a light and red dot.

The blowback design an long with suppressed makes the 9mm ar a little loud with port pop and requires some tuning. The hk delayed bolt works well also the uzi has a heavy bolt wich doesn't seem to care.

I don't know about the newer ones running supressed but it's something to research.

With a heavy buffer, .308 flat wire spring, I have been able to get my 9mm suppressed to have no port pop. But yes, tuning required.

Do you use a spacer/quarters with that combo?

Spacers. Don't use quarters. Might seem like a good idea, until it isn't.

MP5 would be my choice in 9mm.

For .45 I would do a Kriss Vector
