Default Why Do Some Online Place Ask For a License Fax?

I've ordered from a few places online and none of them have ever asked for a fax of my drivers license. I found a new place today and they have pretty good ammo prices but they want a drivers license fax. What is the point of this? Is it law in some places or do they do it to make ordering from them harder?

It is a law in ALL places (most likely) that you have to be of a certain age to purchase ammo. They are just verifying it.

I'm not saying I agree, I'd personally buy from some where else.

Just a "C.Y.A." thing, kinda like the "adult signature at delivery"crapola.

They just drop off ammo and any other box on my porch and scoot.
