Without R majorities in both houses and an R governor . . . the only way this gets repealed is to make it part of something else the dems want, which probably won't be very palatable. Stupid freaking law--never should have passed and Hick should have vetoed it.

My concern is that it was far too easy for James Holmes and others like him to acquire high-capacity magazines and large quantities of ammunition. I know the magazine limit can’t prevent every act of violence by a deranged individual, but I believe it can reduce the probability that future acts of violence could be as calamitous as Aurora or Newtown.

I understand that you may be unhappy with this response, but I hope you appreciate my giving you a straight answer. Please continue to contact me about the issues that matter to you most.

Ask him what scientific study shows that magazine capacity restrictions would have any effect on a mass shooting, and why does he think 15 dead kids are okay?

This ban will stop nothing and has stopped nothing. If you allow any and all people that wish to carry, too carry, then less of this will go on. It looks like the people responding to this thread understand this. Gun free zones should be posted not as a gun free zone but as a" KILLING FIELD " If you wish to quote studies, and I don't, because it is way to easy to skew the wording of a study just look at the national crime numbers and it is easy to see that almost every time this happens it is in a GUN FREE ZONE were I should not carry a defensible fire arm or a city that has anti gun laws enacted. I carry constantly if you put up a sign that asks me not to use your store that's cool with me you don't need my money. Make your voice heard contact you representative. You can do this by phone, email or regular mail. I don't care how it happens I think national carry needs to be the norm. It is a one minute google search to find how to contact anyone that is voted into office.

I lost all faith in the leadership of our state while watching that debacle... These are the most ill informed, ignorant moonbats I have ever seen, I'm looking at you Rhonda Rapsheet. They dont even care that the law isnt enforced and is not enforceable. Hell, one of the idiots that pushed this through thought magazines were only good once, and once the high (standard) cap mags were "used up" people wouldnt be able to get more. It was a fucking circus... They didnt give a shit what the people in the state wanted, they didnt listen to the thousands that showed up to argue these proposed laws. All they were concered about was pushing their agenda, because "they had to do something."

Still makes me sick that these clowns are in charge of our once great state.

Not true, it has stopped what it was designed to stop and that is law abiding gun owners enjoying their rights. That is ALL it was designed to do. It was nothing more than counting coup in the culture wars.

Democrats simply do not care about the lives of innocent people, they are hateful, evil POSs that do everything based on hate. They hate us and they were able to spit in our eye and then go to their dinner parties and laugh at how they spit in the eye of "those goddamn Republican bastards".
Modern liberalism is based on the idea that reality is obligated to conform to one's beliefs because; "I have the right to believe whatever I want".

it seems to me that there should be a streamlined process for bringing criminal charges and forcing a trial by jury for politicians that behave this way and demonstrably violate law/constitution/ethics mandates/etc....

Recall elections just seem to be completely pointless and hold almost no punative impact or (overall) disincentive effect whatsovever, and ejection from office can just be tied directly to the criminal conviction...
