I didn't buy the watch with the intention of using the text feature much, but I must admit, I've built up my instant reply library, and I find myself using it for quick responses more often than not. As for the phone call feature, I confess, I'm not on the phone much, preferring text, but I can see it coming in handy for hands free while driving.

I'm having an issue with my S3. It won't let me turn on notifications for texts...so I'm not getting texts on it at all. When I try to turn them on it says unable to because I must turn on numbersync.

But I do have numbersync turned on.

So I tried to disconnect numbersync and reconnect. No dice.

Restarted both devices. Still no texts.

My text notifications on my S3 were working a few days ago. I didn't change anything, and now magically they aren't. WTF?

    Any ideas?

I use a Garmin VivoActive HR for the GPS livetracking feature. When I'm out in the middle of nowhere, someone still knows where I am and can actively monitor whether or not I'm alive, which is extremely helpful.
Just doing what I can to stay on this side of the dirt.

... because if it shows you're not alive, they can say "efff it" and switch to watching the Kardashians?

My new FDE band came in, this one is much nicer, and heavier duty than the others I picked up.

Also, I was perusing the Galaxy store for new watch faces and stumbled across the "watchmaker" app. Apparently it's an app that you can use to make your own faces, and then share them with other users. I picked up a couple different Luminox faces that are pretty cool.

Here's the same face "sleeping" in always on mode.

Careful with some of the faces. I have found some that use significantly more battery...like drained the watch in one day. And the always on display was dimmer and less involved than some others I've used. Not sure what was eating the battery, but i uninstalled a couple faces and my battery life went back up.

My watch face is simple. Just the time, date, and temperature. I also have rotating superheroes for the background.

    When in doubt, reboot.

If you recently switched watch faces, switch back to what you had before and try again.

Has anyone tried the steel wristband option for the S3 (Frontier) and have any thoughts on that vs. some of the other styles?
