Ask a question here and you get more info than you need. Not only has he gotten a couple of replies about Adams county but he's now much more knowledgeable about what it would cost in counties where he isn't even going to register anything.
Forgot to mention, weld county's website offers an estimator. Might be worth googling.

Guess I shouldn't complain, I had to pay 290 for an '09 coupe - last year in CA it was 188. This was in boulder

Wouldn't be the first person to have vehicles registered in a different county. Years ago i told people no one moved to weld cty for the quality of living, they did it to avoid emission testing.
For those who have to plate a trailer. A 4 x 8 cost $75 per, which was more than i paid for it. Give CO another 5 years and we'll probably see safety inspections, again, once enough for the children people immigrate here.
