Show up with check or credit card in hand and a jar of lubricant, cause they can..

You can call but, they don't give quotes over the phone.

New as in 2017, or new as in new to you? Either way figure an easy $400+easy.

depends on the purchase price and the cost new. I would think they should have a cost estimator on there site. I know for wife's 2014 explorer in Weld it was outrageous or so I think.

first you have sales tax. The dealer probably collected the state (3%), but probably not county, RTD and city. so figure another 3 to 5%. You have to pay that just the first year.

Then it's by weight and value. so expensive SUV's and pickup trucks get CRUSHED. Little sedans and such don't do so bad.

It declines slowly but steadily over 10 years, to about $100 or so per year. (20 years ago a 10 year old car cost about $20, now it's over a $100) and it doesn't really decline any further.

dont' forget you need proof of insurance plus all the dealer paperwork.

Just registered my new 2017 equinox in Jeffco... About $700... that included an extra $50 they charge for veteran plates... i am sure that when I got them on my other car they didn't cost any extra.

Every time I get a new vehicle it is usually about $450 for plates. And I don't spend over $20K on my vehicles. If you bought a $40K vehicle you can expect double what I pay.

People rag on Texas all of the time but plates on a brand new truck usually cost me under $45.

    El Paso county:
When we went to register our 2016 Odyssey, it would have been around $530 or so -- opted to move my DV plates over so it was "$0"

2007 Escape was like... $75 or something? Wife took care of that one so I dunno.

I just registered a "collector" car. Way more than it should be for a car that is limited on it's annual mileage. The part that rubbed me wrong was the $40.00 E470 fee. Why did I pay a fee for a toll road. A road that is paid for by those who use it. A road I will never go on. And a road they do not want me on!! The vehicle only goes 55
