    Default Leupold Rifleman

    $200, 3-9x.

What are people's opinions on this scope? The picture was amazingly clear. I was handling one at Sportman's today....

Is it going to be for hunting or target? While I personally don't own any I have several friends that do and they swear by them, i have shot their guns and they are a great optic. If it's for hunting look at the light gathering percentage or light transmission the higher the percentage the brighter the picture in low light situations. I have Nikon and Burris scopes and find they have excellent clarity as well. The Nikon Pro-Staff is their base model and is pretty comparable to the Rifleman line as far as features with a price tag about $40 cheaper. But it boils down to personal preference.

It would be for target shooting primarily, but maybe some hunting with it, as well...
