I Had a Dream

I had a dream last night. In that dream, an angel of God appeared to me. The angel was John M. Browning, official Armorer to the Lord Himself. He appeared in a heavenly light and his voice was commanding but soothing. He said:

“Behold! I am Saint John Browning, Rangemaster of Heaven and Handgun Armorer to the Lord Almighty, your God. More than 100 years past the Lord did sendeth me to walk in His name upon the earth to build for thee, mortal man, the most perfect of handguns. It was to be called the Colt Model of 1911 and it was good.

And the Lord commands unto man and to all Bubbas who walketh the Earth and improperly polish feed ramps in their basements, “Defileth thee not the 1911 for it is conceived of my Angel, John Browning, and approved of by Me. He who defileth this gun knoweth not the Lord, nor Heaven, but showeth himself to be the spawn of Satan.

Installeth not in thine pistol, the Colt Model of 1911, the abominations known as full length guide rods, extended slide lock levers and Shok Buffs for these are the work of the Devil.

And keepest thou thine 1911 pure and unaltered as delivered by Colt for that is the way of the Lord. Especially if it’s a nice Series 70. So commandeth the Lord.”
